Field trip to Star Market

Field trips are a fundamental part of our Intensive English program. Going out and doing everyday things allows students to put into practice what they learned in the classroom.

Our level 4 students went on a field trip to Star Market yesterday. The mission? Plan a nice dinner for their classmates and find the right ingredients! The challenge? Stay within a $40 budget! 

The first team decided on BBQ Beef Sirloin and Chicken Wings. The second pair chose to make borscht (beet soup), a popular dish from Eastern Europe.  Although both teams succeeded, the real surprise was how affordable borscht can be. Apparently you can buy all the ingredients for it and still have enough cash left for 2 pints of ice cream!
